Crime: To be forever known as the 'Jerusalem Bulldozer Attack', Duwait attacked and killed four people and injured more than 30 others by driving over them with a Caterpillar 966 front-end loader on Jaffa Road in Jerusalem. He was eventually shot to death at the scene.
Biography: Police were never able to determine the motive behind this attack. Friends and family members of the 32-year old father of two, claim that Duwait had no connections to militant groups, nor did he have any leanings toward a hatred of Jews. In fact, he is said to have dated a Jewish woman for a period of time in recent years. Some have said that Duwait was a junkie and that he may have acted in a drug addled state of mind where he was unable to control his bad temper. Witnesses claim that Duwait took the front-end loader from a construction site and proceeded to drive against traffic, yelling 'Allahu Akbar'. He then plowed into a filled transit bus flipping it over on its side and then continuing down the road. A traffic policewoman got herself into position and started firing at the driver. She apparently hit him bringing the loader to a halt momentarily, before it lurched forward again crushing another car and killing another person. Three men then jumped up onto the vehicle and climbed towards the cabin. One, an armed off-duty soldier, shot Duwait three times in the head at point blank range ending the incident.
