Crime: Killer of three women, all teenagers, in the Manchester area of England.
Biography: Hardy murdered three girls, one as young as fifteen, in the mid 1970s. He confessed to his crimes at a later date, but was so calculating that he filed his teeth to prevent bite marks being traced back to him after the first murder.
In prison now, he once wrote a letter to one of the girl's parents, blaming the spate of murders on his parents. He has a 'good work record' in prison, but is one of the few prisoners who have a 'full life tariff' as in not expected to ever be released.
