Biography: Jeffries is remembered for quite brutal acts of violence, as well as his cannibalism. He was a bushranger, and robbed his way around the Tasmania area, with one particular act of brutality now part of murderous history. In this episode he captured a family, and at one stage took a baby and smashed its head against a tree, shooting the father who tried to intervene. He was hanged on the infamous 'six man scaffold'.
